Educational Enrichment

Educational Enrichment is a value that WCP holds in high regard. With the school systems budgetary requirements tightening often the first thing to go is arts education. WCP has several opportunities for students and teachers to enhance arts education.

Student production internships- encouraging Pinellas County students to have hands on experience in the production process. Allowing students to shadow our directors, actors, stage managers, property masters, costume designers and technicians.

We intend to support the teachers in Pinellas County by providing study guides available on our website for various productions with literary value. Also, we will continually invite classes to attend preview performances and talk-back sessions.

WCP is developing an educational program for theatrically minded students. This includes a master class series with some of the areas best performance experts.

Community Outreach

As WCP grows as an organization we feel that community outreach will play an increasingly important role. Not only to create awareness for our theatre and the arts but to find ways to practically give back to the community in Pinellas County.

The Outreach Committee is activating the WCP on Wheels program to take entertainment into places where people find it difficult to go to a theatre to see a show live…..retirement homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals and schools. The committee continues to seek these needs and if anyone is aware of a place that could benefit from the WCP on Wheels program, please email and let us know at

We feel that some of the most substantial ways we can improve our community is by strengthening bonds with other non-profits, providing access to critical arts education that has been eliminated in the school systems, and literally bringing the arts to those in our community who, through physical limitation, are not able to enjoy the richness of the theatrical experience.

Volunteers Needed

Get involved! Volunteering with West Coast Players is a great way to meet people, to see what happens behind the scenes, to work in every aspect of our organization and to help guide the direction of the theatre.

Click here to check the volunteer schedule board.

We need volunteers for every phase of operating the theatre. This includes set building, painting, tear down, lights, backstage, costumes, maintenance, cleaning, marketing, fundraising as well as acting. This is just a partial list of help needed.

We are always on the lookout for volunteers to help in the lobby for future productions. Positions are available for House Managers, Box Office, Ushers and Concessions.

Training is offered and volunteers will receive free admission to the show. We’d love to add your name to our volunteer list! Come be a part of the magic of live theatre.
